Needless to say this has lost the follow up vehicle which would have been taken to this dealership. I don’t think it’s Taylor’s fault as the mechanic should have know what procedure to perform. He blame Taylor with this mistake and Taylor was off. I received a call from the manager 15 min later telling me the recall was not done and what they attempted to do. This was clearly unacceptable performance from a large ford dealership.Īfter I had to call to check on the status, I was told it would be read at 5pm and recall was completed. The car has decals, light bar and other things a competent person would know is a police car. The bulletin says the civil procedure doesn’t work on the police model. It seems to me to be clearly incompetent to try that. They had the car for 8 hrs and tried to perform the civilian explorer recall. It was a min 8 hr service according to ford bulletin. I went over what the recall was about and how the rear end needed to be dropped. Scheduled for Ford recall on police explorer. If you have to schedule an appointment then you should have the courtesy of standing by that commitment. Would definitely not recommend this service department for anything.
I was told twice that the truck would be diagnosed the following day, after having to continuously contact the service department for updates I decided to pick my truck to take to another dealership after I was told on the third day that " we'll get it in tomorrow" and diagnose it. I did not leave my truck as a drop off to be looked at when they had a chance. I understand that things happen but to have an appointment and have my truck sit for 3 days is unacceptable. I was told it would be diagnosed twice for it to only sit there and not be diagnosed. Dropped it off on a Monday morning for my scheduled appointment to not hear anything back until Wednesday. I made an appointment for service on my truck, only for it to sit there for 3 days without being looked at. Very disappointed and will drive to Atlanta before using this dealership again.
